Kolkata,10 June (HS) Union Finance minister Nirmala Sitaramanndian has assured the Indian Chamber of Commerce of her continued support and all possible efforts to resolve the problems facing the trade and industry. Informing this Rajeev Singh, Director General, Indian Chamber of Commerce h said here on Wednesday the ICC members who met the Finance minister in New Delhi yesterday had raised several issues including the liquidity problem faced by MSME and implementation of the interest subvention scheme. The members requested her for a relook at the tenor before an asset became an NPA which was 90 days.It could be increased to 180 or 270 days.The Finance minister promised to take up the issue with RBI and said necessary legislative steps had already been taken up at the Central level for release of all subsidies. The members had also requested Sitharaman for a relook at the GST rates for some goods which were facing demand constraint. The GST Council may consider it at the next meeting. The Union Finance Minister also urged the ICC members to keep the interaction going further between Industry and Government and work together for making India ‘Atmanirbhar , Singh said.
